This Fellowship is offered by private practice physicians who are not affiliated with any academic institution. It is a collaboration of SDNeurosurgery, South Bay Neurosurgery, and Back2Life Pain Management practices.
This Fellowship has a rolling admission process. A Fellow can be accepted at any time throughout the year, provided there is space available for a new Fellow.
Yes, this is a full-time position.
The program accommodates between 1 to 4 Fellows at any given time.
It is a 24-month program.
Yes, graduating Fellows may be offered a Faculty position in the Fellowship, depending on their performance during the program.
Yes, in several of our hospitals, an NP cannot assist in the OR without this. This is not required for Physician Assistants (PA). If accepted into the Fellowship, the NP should enroll in any available RNFA program. as soon as possible. The NP can start with the Fellowship as an RNFA student and obtain the certificate once enough hours are acquired in the OR within the Fellowship.
Yes, the Fellowship will reimburse for RNFA course as long as the Fellow completes the program. The fellowship will also cover the cost of DEA certification, hospital privileges and dues, etc. as long as the Fellow completes the program.
No, the Fellowship is a salaried position. As such all vacation days are not paid time off.
The Fellowship is a two-year commitment. However, the contracts will be one year and renewable for another year if the Fellow performs well in the first year.
